"rich bear"

Meshmixer, Adobe Dimension, 2020

1024 x 768

Rich bear is a 3D remixed “hybrid” model, or in more simpler terms, a digital sculpture. My model was created using objects from Poly by Google, Meshmixer and Adobe Dimension. In my process, I explored different resources and objects files that interested me. I looked around for unique and eye-catching pieces that I could deconstruct and reattach to create the current sculpture I have now in Meshmixer. After some rearranging and troubleshooting, I imported the final figure into Adobe Dimension, where I decided to utilize the presets and basic models to add some more details to the sculpture. At first glance, the final product appears sophisticated, with the sharp gold and metallic accents, but it becomes more oddly perplexing the more you observe. The base of the piece is a deconstructed toilet, with a female torso hovering above it, holding a towel and bearing the head of a teddy bear. This piece is what I would call a “mysterious yet comical mistake”. In its current absurd state, the sculpture could represent various themes such as the portrayal of the beauty of maximalism, the depiction of the strange tastes of decor from wealthy people, or even the visualization of internal human greed and foolishness as a piece to behold.
